Ep 33 How we service our harken winch

Knowing how cold and wet the winter months can be in the UK we have decided to take a winter berth so we can stay plugged into shore power and feel the warmth of heating without worrying about have sufficient power. We also need to carry out some boat upgrades and tons of maintenance ready for spring when we plan to leave the marina and set sail south! We explore old haunts and discover an amazing new bakery, that will no doubt become a regular haunt over the following months. It supplies exquisite pastries, bread and savoury treats. We take a walk along Penarth sea front, have tea on the pier and prepare the boat for a lift out. As well as removing our dinghy for winter, we service the winches and discover fish in the heads.
