Ep 30 Sailing the Menai Straits twice in one tide

Our friends David and George have never sailed through the Menai Straits so we decide to all go on Yacht Aquila. Just to make this fearsome passage more challenging we go trough and back in the same tide, the timing is everything. After a short rest we continue our journey south to Fishguard in south Wales. We have some lovely sails with bright sunshine and dolphins and some horrible sails in thick fog with no radar. The latter was a bit testing but we are here to share the tale with you. We have the opportunity to fly our cruising chute which is always a thrill and we meet up with our friends Rob and Jen on yacht Volupia. All three boats decide to set sail in company through the notorious Jack and Ramsey sounds.
