Ep 13. The La Brea Tar Pits 🧩 Poor Squirrels 🐿 😭 (Willis Wanderings)

Welcome to our channel. We are family with special needs kids who like to hang out with some great friends. My best friend, Denise, and I have recently turned 40', and we are looking to find '40 fun things' to do in Southern California with our kids in tow. These kids will never be able to say, "Mom... we never did anything fun." HAHA ... Keep checking back for more So Cal adventures. Episode 13 we go to the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles. Little did we know we would be surrounded by "Tar" . Tar everywhere. Gabrielle wasn't prepared for the sadness the Tar would ensnare her in... Lots of movie references followed. It was fun to see how each of our kids reacted differently to the many different Tar Pits. Anthony, who has Autism, loved this museum the most, as I could see his attention span held longer to the different exhibits around the Tar Pits. Taking my family out into the world is very important to me. I want to prepare them for various types of structured and unstructured encounters that Neurotypical people experience every day.
