End of Year Adventure part 2- Sailing to MEXICO (Dec 2022)

In this episode, we continue our End of 2022 Adventure. Prior to departing for Avalon, we discovered the windlass motor was failing. We cancelled our original plans to sail to the northern Channel Islands (including San Miguel Island). Our alternative plan is to sail to Ensenada, Mexico. We have a Small Craft Advisory calling for 15 to 25 knot winds and 8-10 foot waves. All day Wednesday and extending into Thursday morning before tapering off to light winds. We choose to take a route near San Clemente Island, further offshore to keep us along the wind bands for better sailing. Weather conditions remain favorable and we have an excellent sail to Ensenada.
