E215 - From Mud Volcanoes to White Sand Paradise, Borneo Sailing

We leave Miri and sail to Pulau Tiga, better known as Survivor Island. Famous for its bubbling mud volcanoes, we cover ourselves head to toe in cool-to-the-touch, mineral-rich mud. It takes a little encouragement for the girls to get in — but once they do, it turns into an unforgettable (and very messy!) experience. After washing off, we snorkel the vibrant coral reef while park rangers keep watch overhead with a surveillance drone — monitoring the area for the island’s resident crocodile. It definitely adds an edge to the swim! We then hop across to nearby Lovely Paradise Island, where pure white sand and crystal-clear water create a true tropical postcard scene — best admired from the island’s quirky pool table overlooking the beach. Finally, we set sail toward Kota Kinabalu, and manage to hook a fish along the way, rounding out another unforgettable adventure in Malaysian Borneo.
