E160 - Yemiu Bay, Finding Our Own Heart Reef

After a very short sail we drop at anchor at Yemiu Bay and we are immediately greeted by a few canoes and friendly locals. We head to shore and are shown around the villages, looking for the chief. Back on No Regrets we snorkel the nearby HEART REEF and get some fantastic drone shots. That evening, the visitors keep coming and we are left with an incredible amount of fruit and vegetables. WHO ARE WE? We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022. In 2023 we sail back to New Caledonia and to Vanuatu. We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
