Driving our boat into our berth, finally! - BOAT LIFE Ep. 03

Guys, we finally made it! We try to launch again and this time nothing is stopping us from floating away in our new home. It feels great to have water under the keel instead of a block of wood. Although driving the boat into the marina, with all the other boats around us, little room to manoeuvre and people watching us while we’re trying not to make mistakes (and mainly not to hit their boats!) is a little nerv wrecking, Alex does a great job anyway! We make a few more mistakes and manage to fill the boat with water, even though there is neither water leaking from the shaft seal, nor waves crashing on deck.. tiny mistakes on a boat have bigger consequences than you’d expect in the first place. But life in the marina for sure is way more comfortable and there’s people who help you out with everything. Boat people really make for a fantastic crowd :) and we’re happy with the friends we’ve made already. Again we’re one step closer to sailing off onto the wide open ocean.. ———————- We arrived in Greece 2 weeks ago and with that kick started our sailing adventure in which we try to circumnavigate the world.
