DIY Sailing Racing Computer for under $150 - Part One

I am a computer engineer and develop embedded systems. I have been wanting to work on a DIY project to enable everyone to have a sailboat racing computer. I have started a YouTube series to help everyone that is interested to be able to develop their own sailboat racing computer. Some electronics and programming experience is needed to make this work. However, if you are good with your hands and have worked with hobby electronics you might find these videos helpful. This is a multi-part tutorial showing you how to make a DIY sailing racing computer for under $150. This first video shows you how to setup the integrated development environment. It is assumed that you have some programming experience and understand basic C syntax. I will be providing the source code as we progress through the project.
