In this video, you'll learn to recognize the different mast configurations, for example, the difference between a sloop and a tall ship. You'll also learn why square-rigged sails (aka pirate sails) are a thing of the past. Corrections, thanks to your comments.: at 17:31, this is a barque, because the aft mast is not square-rigged. At 19:20 this is a Brig, instead of a Brigantine, because both masts are square-rigged. A schooner is called Schoener in Dutch, not Schooner.
