To get a quote for your vessel from Keane Specialty Insurance: https://keanespecialty.com/get-a-quote/ The Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 is almost here, and David is giving his preview of the yachts he believes are worth making the effort to see when the show opens from 8 to 13 September. Spread across the Vieux Port and Port Canto, Cannes brings together new motor yachts, sailing yachts, world premieres and an extensive brokerage selection. In this preview, David explains where to go, what to expect and which yachts have caught his attention ahead of this year’s show. One of the biggest debuts will be the Azimut Grande 44M, the largest yacht Azimut has ever built. Making her world debut at Cannes, she features a Dual Mode hull, 30 square metres of integrated solar panels and a Mild Hybrid system designed to allow the yacht to remain at anchor for hours with the generators switched off. David is also particularly interested in the Sirena 118, the Turkish builder’s new 36-metre composite flagship and the model that takes its GRP range firmly into superyacht territory. Her design brings together Sirena’s in-house exterior team, naval architect Germán Frers and interiors by Cor D. Rover. Yachts to look out for include: • Azimut Grande 44M • Sirena 118 • Sanlorenzo SHE • Sunreef ULTIMA 88 • Princess X90 • Numarine 27XP • Numarine 40MXP • Pardo GT65 • Grand Soleil Plus 80 • Oyster 675 and 745 • ISA Viper 130 • Custom Line Navetta 35 • Pershing GTX90 • Riva 96' Argo Super • Sunseeker Manhattan 94 The Sunreef ULTIMA 88 is another world debut worth watching. Regular viewers may remember the model from David’s recent multihull comparison, but it has since attracted further attention after Spanish tennis champion Carlos Alcaraz chose a customised ULTIMA 88 of his own. Other highlights include the distinctive Sanlorenzo SHE, the new Princess X90, and Numarine 27XP, successor to the highly successful 26XP. At Port Canto, David also picks out several sailing yachts worth seeing, including the new Grand Soleil Plus 80 and the Oyster 675 and 745. With a huge number of new yachts and world premieres expected, Cannes once again marks the start of an important period in the yachting calendar. David will be there looking at the new launches, and there are already plenty of yachts on his list to see once the show gets underway.
