Build Your Own EV Charger Tester (How EV Chargers Communicate)

In this video I show how EV chargers (often called wallboxes) communicate with the car using the Control Pilot signal. We look at the PWM signal, duty cycle, resistor states (A/B/C) and the diode safety check that tells the charger it’s really connected to a vehicle. To demonstrate this, I built a simple DIY EV charger tester that simulates a car so you can safely observe the charging handshake on an oscilloscope.
