Boatlife in the Busy Dutch Canals | Anchoring to Explore Amsterdam (1024 Nautical Miles Sailed)

We’ve now sailed 1024 nautical miles from our hometown Stockholm all the way to the Netherlands, on our journey towards the Mediterranean. In this video, we continue our adventure through the famous Standing Mast Route, a unique canal system that lets sailboats cross the country without lowering the mast. ⛵️ The Dutch canals has truly amazed us, from sailing above highways to passing countless bridges and locks, meeting big barges, and exploring charming Dutch towns. Sometimes the passage is smooth, other times chaotic with many boats squeezing through the same narrow bridge. We then exit the canals into the largest manmade lake in Western Europe, setting course for Amsterdam. But instead of sailing into the city, we make a last-minute choice to take the train, but we and end up having a beautiful touristy day in Amsterdam.
