It is a 360 degree protected anchorage with great holding and ample amounts of room. After spending a night in the outer anchorage and having a blissful 12 hours of sleep after our fast and fun sailing from Freeport, Katy and I move Seawind into this wonderful anchorage for some reprieve from the howling winds. It sure worked! I believe it when people say this is a hurricane hideout. We spend a few days working and a few days exploring the surrounding area and even though our timing was on days that most shops were closed, we find a beautiful beach to walk on and cool off in the water. We zip around on Gami our folding dinghy, and run into someone who needs their boat refrigerator fixed so I (Parker) go to see if I can help. Once the wind calms down, we leave to head 27 miles to Fowl Cay, another Berry island. During our travel we catch our first fish while trolling and reel in what we think is a small Skipjack Tuna! We believe it to be a Bonito after further research. We enjoy our first jump off of Seawind and swim around our floating home as the sun begins to set. Ahh the bliss of boat life.
