Bahamas, This Is What We Came For (Calico Skies Sailing, Ep. 45)

What got us through four long and sometimes miserable months of boat work on the East Coast late fall into winter? Dreaming of floating in the incredible turquoise waters of the Bahamas! In this episode, we recover from our treacherous, gale passage in the beautiful island of Spanish Wells, Eleuthera. And though we've made it to paradise, paradise does have its windy moments. This is quite typical of the Bahamas in January though and we're just so glad to be cruising again that it doesn't bother us much. One of our favourite aspects of cruising the Bahamas is the bounty of it's waters and enjoying fresh seafood all season long. We got lucky while in Eleuthera and didn't even have to work for it when a little squid hopped on board over night. Fresh calamari anyone??
