► From offshore racing to cruising, the world's leading manufacturer of navigation electronics is essential aboard many multihulls. Founded in 1956 in Lymington, England, B&G – short for Brookes & Gatehouse – has gradually established itself as a benchmark in sailing instrumentation. Now part of the Navico Group, a subsidiary of Brunswick Corporation, the brand leverages a global ecosystem, with technical teams located in the main sailing areas. ► This network allows B&G to support shipyards for original equipment installations as well as retrofitting multihulls already in operation. ► B&G's history is closely linked to offshore racing. Navigation tools are developed and tested there to provide reliable data and ensure continuous updates that are immediately usable on board. These technologies are then adapted for cruising and recreational boating, with simplified interfaces but without any loss of information. Certain systems, like Hercules, have left their mark on generations of sailors. ► Today, instruments, autopilot, C-MAP chartplotters, and radar are designed to work together within a single onboard network. Current solutions extend this logic. Zeus systems now form the core of the network. Nemesis displays, dedicated to providing information, allow for configurable readings of key data according to the navigation phase, from fine-tuning to standby.
