Key take aways & impression from aspiring Yachtmaster Paul, doing YM training on our 2024 shakedown sail across the Irish Sea to Belfast and north to the Inner Hebrides. Paul did two 60+ passages as skipper: Irish Sea crossing 102 NM and Belfast to Port Ellen 62nm . During both passages Paul had to mange strong winds, risk of wind chill and some of the strongest tidal races in the uk. #yachtmaster #training #passageplanning #adventuresailing #swan47 #competentcrew
