Arctic Sense 2021, Svalbard

Andreas B. Heide, Director of Arctic Sense 2021 departed his hometown of Stavanger, Norway aboard his Jeanneau Sun Fast 37, Barba in June 2021. Since then Andreas and his crew have sailed up the Norwegian coast and crossed over to the the archipelago of Svalbard located just south of the North Pole. The Arctic Sense mission will explore the polar Atlantic ecosystem, assess its current health and highlight its vulnerability to climate change and pollution.
