Well, it's finally time to say goodbye to Victoria. We got her knowing she was going to be a parts boat but was still the first boat we ever owned. Feels a little bitter-sweet. On the other hand, she has given us so much! Not only her hardware but also a sense of excitement having her in the yard as we build. Encouragement as we sat in her late at night after a long day of work. Introductions to so many people, including one of her former owners. And of course, teaching us so much about how boats are put together. In this episode, we take most of her hull apart so that we can then continue on to salvaging her planking and her centerline timbers. Both of which will hopefully be reused (what parts are not rotten) to become our dinghy.
