A Welcome Rest | Sailing Kejstral Adventures S02E04 | Vlog

Our sailing adventure now takes us on from the lovely island of Kythnos to the hustle and bustle of Hydra. Forever beating a course against the elements, it’s a welcome rest on an island that boasts no motor vehicles! Donkeys and Mules carry everything from passengers to luggage, whilst sea taxis offer a similar service, as well as trips to remote beaches (including nudist) and other hard to access places. We are lucky to be here for the Easter celebrations, and enjoy the vibrant friendly atmosphere surrounding this holiday. Anchored in the small bay of Mandraki (no room in the harbour) it’s only a short walk into the town, and a lot quieter, but still with a great atmosphere of its own. Sailing on to Epidavros, we hit our first serious squall, crashing into 4 metre waves and being battered with 46 knot winds and lashing rain.
