A Difficult Lee Shore And A Disappointing Beat!

We start this sail from the bottom of the lake where the wind has formed almost a bay of Lee shore around our anchorage. The easy way out would be to drop the outboard in, but that's not the SWD way!!! So, we tack and tack and tack again until we're out and finally free from the cove. Just as soon as we're sailing we then run aground and Lulu's centreboard gets knocked off it's roller so it's stuck in position. We carry on though, beating all the way home in a very difficult, and quite frankly, tedious wind. Luggers don't have booms but that block can give you a good bop!!! 00:00 Using the Mizzen at anchor 01:14 Sailing from a difficult Lee shore 06:44 Free at last!! 08:07 Lulu runs aground 09:59 Can't find the wind 11:03 At last we have a longer tack 12:12 The wind leaves us 14:40 A tribute to the Queen 15:55 More "ambling"! 16:32 Wind picks up 18:22 Finding my dead zone 21:02 Beating with the Mizzen 21:44 The last leg home 23:16 Re-seating the Centreboard 24:15 A Gopro rant!!! 25:26 Thanks for watching!
