#46 - Fire and Frustration!

FIRE!!!! FRUSTRATION!!! This was a hard week! We had a lot on our plates and the work on the boat was challenging to say the least so there was a bit of friction in the air as we tackled the front of the cockpit seats and struggled to trim and fit the panels to shape. Even straight bits of metal on a boat aren't actually straight so no matter how carefully you measure and cut there will always be some fettling and fiddling to get bits to go where you want them to, and of course working with panels like this with sharp corner and a fair bit of weight in them is pretty dangerous. Well, we got there in the end and have three out of the four fronts welded in place. And along with that Melissa spent an evening after work removing the old instrumentation from the pilothouse so we can relocate them to a more sensible position and weld up the holes.
