209: EIGHT Boat Projects THAT CHANGED OUR LIVES on our LEOPARD 44

The Rio is the perfect place to complete boat projects and in this season we were able to upgrade our boat in 8 major areas: salon facelift (adding more counter space), removing the oversized salon table and replacing it with a smaller swivel table, making a deeper seating area and lounge for comfort and overnights on passage, adding a fuel filter to the dinghy, removing the old windlass, fiberglassing and reinforcing the anchor locker and installing a new windlass, getting dinghy chaps and “roughing” up the outboard engine cover, making a bimini hole for rainwater collection, changing out our liferaft and doing a full rigging inspection! Wow, it was a busy time, but we got it all done and more! So, don’t miss all the details in this video on the changes we made! After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you.
