Tom Slingsby (AUS) has been a dominant force in the Laser and having won three Laser Worlds in a row for five World titles in total he banished his Beijing 2008 demons and took a comprehensive gold medal at London 2012. Slingsby won the ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Award in 2010 and has been nominated once again after a successful year.
