We take the sailboat out in Bad Weather on purpose to get some more experience before dropping the big boat in the ocean. We experience our first squall and dip the toe rail under water. Found a catastrophic crack in the backstay Chain plate while polishing the stern. Thank goodness I noticed this while at anchor as we would have likely lost our mast on our downwind run from Avalon to San Diego in a few days! Since my sailing adventure was put on hold I did not want to return to Montreal empty handed and I decided to discover Nova Scotia. The good thing was that back in August initially I had chosen to travel to NS driving my own car, (I left it in Halifax) so it was handy... In this episode I drove South from Halifax to Peggy's Cove - this was my first stop before continuing further south along the Atlantic coast ... ===================== ABOUT ME Back in 2019 I decided I did not want to be a 9 to 5  type guy anymore.  I got fed up with this rat race like routine city life and I got hooked on the idea of sailing and living on a boat full time. But with 0 (zero) expirience that would be difficult to achieve... I took a Transport Canada course and received my first boat license... I watched tons of videos about boats and sailing on youtube and got myself registered with dozen boat related forums and groups on a facebook... In May 2020 I came across a facebook post. Sergey was looking for a crew to bring his boat to the Caribbean. I travelled 1300 km from Montreal to Halifax to join him on his boat. The trip was cancelled two months later for legitimate reasons.  Since I made my way to Nova Scotia I decided to discover this beatiful province before going back to Montreal I have not given up on my dream of sailing. Because of this Corona virus situation in the world It is just put on hold... I will chase my dream sooner or later regardless... ==================================== ?????? ??? ?? ??????. ?????? ?
