Take a look at the highlights from the first day of the Youth Sailing Champions League – Vilamoura 2024! The competition features talented young sailors displaying their skills on the water. On the first day, 17 teams consisting of young sailors from 7 different nations gathered in Portugal to compete under sunny skies. We had wind speed around 8 knots with gusts reaching a maximum of 12 knots. The Swiss and French teams dominated the standings on the first day of the competition.

Home Port Docking! Our training ends with the Admiral bringing the boat back to our Home Dock.

We did our prep work for a short journey and all predictions said we would be going into the wind and waves but that waves would start at 2 ft on 4 sec and go to 1 1/2 ft on 4 seconds. We thought that would be good for a motor for a 2 1/2 hour journey. The Predictions were wrong and we got much larger waves. Just made the journey a little bit more rocky than expected.
