Diving the Kicker Rock in San Cristobal Island is another of the iconic dives not to be missed in Galapagos. Kicker rock sticks out of the sea like to fingers of smooth granite, and drop into great depths almost vertically. It has amazing resident schools of fish as well as many huge pelagic species that pass by. If you are a lover of nature or diving don´t miss this video!

Did you know? Tulamben is a small fishing village on the north-east coast of Bali. It is among the most popular dive sites on Bali since the wreck of the Liberty, a US Army Transport ship torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in 1942 lies just off shore. The final presentation before the village in the Island Ua Pou. This is the dance group that Ua Pou will send to the Marquesan Art Festival 2022 in Fatu Hiva It is the almost complete performance 45 minutes, I omitted only some parts (8 minutes) We were so honored to be there. It was a complete hypnotizing experience. The drums, men and women were one sea of sound movement and power. Besides the performance, we heard in the end, this is also the youth that is doing a last performance for their elders. At least for some of them, they end school, go study in Tahiti only to come back years later. You could see the proud parents looking at their sons and daughters and the remembrance that they were dancing there one too. This was purely for their own village. I think we and some others where maybe less then 20 tourists. For people who want more, somebody on a Marquesan YouTube channel posted the final performance of Ua Pou during the art festival In Fatu Hiva 2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2u62FMoa6o

This classic Hunter 30 is used by a long-time sailor and sailing instructor, and was in need of a good cleaning. Take a look at the before and after cleaning the hull, prop, rudder, and drive shaft... it's definitely a huge improvement! The three big factors that influence growth on a boat hull are sunlight, current, and time. In British Columbia the ocean is rich with microscopic marine life that is always looking to cling to surfaces and establish colonies. Most boaters in the Pacific Northwest are aware of this and clean their hulls regularly, but even with a year between cleanings a lot of marine life can build up on a boat. In this case the owner had the hull cleaned only 9-10 months before he asked us to take care of his boat. You can see that even with this period of time a variety of growth has thrived. Believe it or not if he waited until the end of spring there would have been three times as much life on this sailboat. Another happy client ready to head into the wind! Filmed on a GoPro Hero 9 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada
