Da der Sturm über Stunden bläst, bauen sich Wellen auf, die z.T. höher sind als unsere MariaNoa. Sie brechen sich und die Kämme wehen ab. Sie sind steil und unregelmäßig und kommen direkt von der Seite. Um das Rigg zu schützen haben wir immer weiter gerefft und kommen kaum noch voran. Beide Motoren laufen bereits als wir auch noch den letzten Rest des Vorsegels einholen. Uns ist klar, dass wir so nicht weiterkommen und steuern die nächste Bucht an, wo wir im Schutz der Isla Owen Schutz finden. Für die 31 Meilen haben wir 8 Stunden gebraucht und einige kleinere Schäden sind am Schiff zu reparieren. Habt Ihr konkrete Fragen? Dafür haben wir uns einen Katamaran gekauft, mit dem wir Anfang März 2021 von der französischen Atlantikküste auf die Barfußroute gestartet sind. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März 2021geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich.
