This 38ft Bavaria Cruiser is a real beauty and a great versatile all rounder yacht. The German built Bavaria Cruiser 38 is a well proportioned, classic styled yacht that offers comfort, space and a great sailing experience. 'Shibumi' has had a great life with locally based owners taking extremely good care of her. They have enjoyed several seasons Club racing with RMYC, Avalon SC and Woody Point. They were drawn to the open cabin setting and her lovely light and roomy interior while her size and sail plan helped them to improve their sailing skills. They love nothing better than sailing in company and have made great friends and great memories. Now it's time for Shibumi to be enjoyed by you! Shibumi's interior presents (and still smells) like new. Being a 2-cabin, 1 head version, her large master cabin has an inviting island bed with excellent storage space. Her second cabin also has a great bed with hanging lockers and overhead lighting. Both cabins are fitted with lots of cabinets and lockers and come complete with foam mattress overlays to ensure a great night’s sleep. Bavaria designed a great sized head with a dedicated shower cubicle and a wet locker recessed aft of the toilet. Her galley is well appointed with lots of cabinets equipped with stylish crockery and utensils. The cockpit is finished in classic teak and offers full sun protection from a bimini, dodger and infill. All halyards run to clutches and winches under the dodger. There are four winches on her cockpit coamings and the mainsheet can be controlled from either side of the helm. A boom bag with lazy jacks and roller furling headsail all make for easy short handed sailing. The Volvo Penta engine is immaculate with very low hours (they are sailors) and with an excellent service history runs like new. Added features include a Raymarine auto pilot, all new batteries in 2020, an inflatable dinghy and outboard motor - which stow easily in the giant cockpit locker or ‘garage’ as her owners like to call it as there is plenty of room to house toys and extra gear. After a great day on the water, Shibumi's cockpit transforms to become 'the entertainer' for swims, canapés and cocktails. The aft transom swim platform lowers to extend her freeboard and access to the water is easy thanks to a folding steering wheel. Shibumi boasts a beautifully varnished table for entertaining with family or friends. After your swim, exit the water and enjoy a hot shower on the aft deck, then crank up the bbq for some well earned treats and enjoy the beautiful surrounds as the evening sets in. Even though our Liveaboard Yacht is 47' overall due to the custom extended swim platform, the actual Meridian 408 Model is 42'. So this Carver Yacht has 5 feet on ours and would definitely make a good liveaboard for someone.
