The Lahakai sailboat is a 34” custom built steel sailboat, made in 1997 in France and sailed all the way to the shores of Brazil. It was then brought to Niteroi where she sat completely neglected in a boat club for 10 years. And that’s when we found her! We've been told that this well-stocked Grocery in George Town Exumas is largely due, in part, by the effort of the Bahamas to make cruisers feel welcome here. Well, whatever the reason, this is one of the better stocked groceries in all of the Bahamas (that we've found)...Perhaps third to only New Providence and Spanish Wells. Thank you, George Town!
