Shorts Lumikha

The Lahakai sailboat is a 34” custom built steel sailboat, made in 1997 in France and sailed all the way to the shores of Brazil. It was then brought to Niteroi where she sat completely neglected in a boat club for 10 years. And that’s when we found her! There is so much more to come so remember to subscribe to Lahakai! ➡️ WEEKLY VIDEOS EVERY SUNDAY AT 11AM WHO ARE WE? We are Luke, Lori and Leon :) And the Lahakai is an ongoing project to not only create an environmentally friendly sailboat and change our lifestyles but also get back to the thing we love the most; art. Together we are videographers, graphic designers, artists and a dog. And we want to be able to get in touch with our skills to see how we can use them to learn new things, help the environment and change the way we perceive the world. We want to stop talking about how we can make a change - and do it! Starting with building the Lahakai! We hope you enjoy this mini-preview of the upcoming 2-Part video with a full walkthrough of this vessel. For pricing and additional pictures, please follow this link: https://www.catamarans.com/used-sail-catamaran-for-sale/2019-privilege-series-5/wild-rose-ii/178480 In the meantime, let us tell you a little bit of why we like this boat so much: The Privilege Series 5, is a luxury long-distance cruiser that has made a name for itself thanks to its quality build and finishes. These boats are a real step up from other cruising catamarans which is why we have included them in our Luxury Catamarans sections. There is an associated jump in the price of course. This boat has been well thought out with wide, easy-to-navigate side decks and plenty of handholds. and you can tell very quickly that she was designed for long passages. The helm, engine controls, instruments, and electric sheet winches are all around the raised helm station that should make her easy to sail with a short-handed crew. Visibility is good all-around from the elevated helm position on the port side. The hulls, deck, cabin top, and bimini are foam-cored and resin-infused, and to reduce weight, furniture and bulkheads are made with foam-cored maple laminates. The quality of the joinery finish is a real step up from less expensive boats, as you would expect. Contact Brent Hermann at brent@catamarans.com or (954) 224-7637
