Toni and I had the opportunity to check out the first Seawind 1370 in the United States. We did not think twice and headed up to Sail Away Catamarans to enjoy a demonstration sail on Damsel Fly. The 1370 is only 4 feet longer than the 1260, but it is a very different boat. There were things we liked and things we did not, so like every other boat known to mankind, it comes down to compromises. Like all Seawinds, she sailed very nicely in the low winds.
#shorts Foraging doesn’t have to be hard. Sargassum sea weed literally floats by my home on the ocean. Off grid living can be QUITE interesting if you know what to look for. One of the most enjoyable things for me personally living aboard a boat is the self reliant nature of things. Tasty and unique delicacy are everywhere! Admittedly I haven’t yet tried sargassum, but I do plan on it. I’d like to do a catch and cook combo video when the opportunity arises!
Underwater area of sailing boat on video is covered with so called blanket. Last time bottom was cleaned about year ago. The idea is that on the so-called blanket, marine growth will be less caught, and what gets caught will be easy to remove. The result of the test is that a lot of marine growth was collected, which even the high-pressure washing could not remove. It had to be removed with scraper.
Two racing yachts hoist their colorful spinnakers too close together — and chaos breaks out! Sails twist, ropes jam, and the crews shout commands over the roaring wind. Captured from a chase boat in ultra-realistic style — real sailing action at its best! ⛵🌊 #TangledSpinnakers #SailingShorts #YachtRacing #SpinnakerFail #SailingAdventure #OceanLife #RealSailing #YachtLife #SailingAction #BoatRace ---
The last two weeks have been a busy time for the new crew of Red Rocket. With a brave heart nothing impossible, they will have responded favourably to the call of the sea, and organized their life so far sedentary for a jump into the unknown. Who has never dreamed of swapping their existence for an unpredictable, sunny and salty adventure? Few of us have had a chance to put their daily lives in the wings, and turn their dream of family pilgrimage into reality. Our farmers in the Loire Atlantique will have managed to overcome all the difficulties inherent in a hasty departure for one year. The farm is in good hands for one year, Children already doing their homework on the square table of Red Rocket and the explorations in the Canaries can begin serenely. Before the first ambitious navigations, a technical tour of Red Rocket was necessary to discover its systems, its sails, the inventory and refuelling present on board, and of course the different communication systems that will connect them to land. Red Rocket can continue her journey serenely, in good hands!
