Toni and I had the opportunity to check out the first Seawind 1370 in the United States. We did not think twice and headed up to Sail Away Catamarans to enjoy a demonstration sail on Damsel Fly. The 1370 is only 4 feet longer than the 1260, but it is a very different boat. There were things we liked and things we did not, so like every other boat known to mankind, it comes down to compromises. Like all Seawinds, she sailed very nicely in the low winds.

For more information on the 1977 Mako 17’ CC (2020 Restoration) for Sale with HMY Yachts, visit: https://www.hmy.com/yachts-for-sale/17-mako-17-cc-1977/ Contact HMY Yacht Sales Professional Trevor Parry at (518) 947-4930 or tparry@hmy.com for questions. This 1977 Mako 17’ CC is in a class of its own. She was built to the highest standards out of passion by her last owner. This Center Console was completely stripped down in 2020 and rebuilt with an open budget. The cockpit of this Mako was re-designed to make this boat have a bailess system as well as have additional storage. When re-wiring this boat every wire was channeled through sleeves to help prevent corrosion, keep a clean bilge and makes servicing/replacing electronics much easier than in most other boats. The Yamaha 115 has plenty of power and makes the 1977 Mako 17’ launch out of the hull. Once on plane she has a soft and dry ride that is uncomparable to most boats her size. She’s got her own trailer, brand new in 2021, and is currently stored indoors. This Center Console also has a removable Tuuci sunshade that can be put up or taken down in minutes and is easy to stow away on the boat. No need to worry about taking the shade down while running though because it is so strong and rigid even at 50+ mph it does not rattle or move around on the boat. Call today to get more details and set up a showing on this boat, be warned though because once you see it you will have to have it. This 1977 Mako 17’ CC will not last long. Call today! Roberto asked a few good questions about the mast steps in a comment to this video https://youtu.be/p9Ge7HwucF4 . A few good answers are there too, if interested. This short clip provides an update on the brand and part number of the mast steps. Almost no wind right now. I might have to give all 34 of them a try. Or perhaps, by popular demand, Carolyn might try them all! 😳 Regards, Rick.

GALENE, the latest Amels 180 yacht from our successful Limited Editions range, was launched at our yard in Vlissingen beginning of March 2020. Her name derives from Ancient Greek, meaning “serenity, tranquility, calmness”. She stands out with her huge open Sun Deck with pool, a charming Owners Suite with folding balcony, plus an extended Bridge Deck aft and full-beam lounge. Project Manager Elouise Reiff comments, “The team did the name GALENE justice. I am very proud of the hard work done by everyone involved. Through their efforts the launch went smoothly and according to plan.” Designed by Tim Heywood, GALENE is a superbly engineered yacht with proven reliability. She will be available for charter in the Mediterranean in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter with Y.CO. Featuring a calm, light and subtly art-deco inspired interior by Laura Sessa, the yacht will accommodate up to 12 guests in five cabins.
