Meet Carol and Sally! They recently picked up their new Scamp and are going to be sharing their experiences learning to sail her, and then exploring waters in the desert southwest (Lake Powell, AZ is a big one they want to camp cruise). “I thought it would be wise for my body to not only build up strength, but to stretch and use some postures and slow movements I usually associate with yoga or tai chi,” said Carol. “Doing this might prevent injuries no matter your age.” In this case, showing is better than telling, so here’s a short video demonstrating Carol’s strength and mobility-building routine in preparation for sailing her new Scamp! Get to know them on their intro post on our blog, and follow along as they learn and sail in their new Scamp! https://ghboats.com/2025/07/launching-into-the-scamp-adventures-of-carol-and-sally/
Slow down. You’re on island time. When the Simpson Bay Bridge opens, life on St. Martin hits pause. Boats glide through. Traffic stops. Even the iguanas hustle to the show. 🦎⛵ We filmed this from one of the best vantage points on the island. Dockside at the St. Martin Yacht Club Bar & Restaurant, where the drinks are cold and the views never disappoint. Whether you’re sailing with us or just soaking it in from shore, this is one of those island moments you don’t want to miss. It’s calm, it’s charming, and it’s unmistakably *SXM*. 🌴 **Come sail with us in Sint Maarten:** www.lazysheetsailing.com 📍Departs from Philipsburg 🎥 Subscribe for sailing scenes, hidden gems, and a taste of the real island rhythm. #LazySheetSailing #SailSXM #StMaarten #StMartin #BridgeOpening #IslandVibes #CaribbeanLife #LocalLove #YachtClubViews #SXM #SailingLife
While hanging out at anchor over on Hans Lollick we met the ThuderCat VI crew. What an awesome group of people. We hung out for an hour or so, and then they took my wife for a quick sea trial.
