In this video we’re sailing upwind in 35+ knots of breeze in Johnstone Strait during the VanIsle360 race with a double-reefed main sail and storm jib. A crew member is on the foredeck securing the #3 jib we had previously been flying in the short video https://youtube.com/shorts/VRAEp8M49Y4, but ripped in half. The head literally ripped right off. He is wearing a harness and tether! The sky is completely blue, but everybody is still completely soaked from the spray. Lots of sails were destroyed in that leg, including the #3 jib that is now on the foredeck. Want to support the podcast? http://patreon.com/SaltyAbandon Here is my engine after new fuel injectors installed, valves adjusted, as well as the following: new impeller and belt, new alternator belt, changed oil and filter, cleaned sea strainer, new fuel filters, and reinstalled air box and air filter. Going to run it 2 hours and change the oil again (because of the fuel that got into the oil). Still need to install new fuel lift pump. Still need to change the fuel lift pump. I realize not all of the items affected the problem but I'm mentioning them anyway for good measure. Sep 7-9, 2018. I was sailing from Orange Beach to Clearwater and onto who-knows-where. Fri, Sep 7th, leg was Orange Beach to Destin. Sat & Sun leg was Destin to Clearwater (48 hour Gulf Crossing). We had some engine troy ke after we left Destin.
