In this video we’re sailing upwind in 35+ knots of breeze in Johnstone Strait during the VanIsle360 race with a double-reefed main sail and storm jib. A crew member is on the foredeck securing the #3 jib we had previously been flying in the short video https://youtube.com/shorts/VRAEp8M49Y4, but ripped in half. The head literally ripped right off. He is wearing a harness and tether! The sky is completely blue, but everybody is still completely soaked from the spray. Lots of sails were destroyed in that leg, including the #3 jib that is now on the foredeck. Raymarine has some interesting news for this year, as boats.com senior editor Lenny Rudow discovered at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, when the LightHouse software update was announced along with the CP100. The LightHouse update includes a lot of advancements, including new color palettes, menus, and pinch-to-zoom functionality.
