In this video we’re sailing upwind in 35+ knots of breeze in Johnstone Strait during the VanIsle360 race with a double-reefed main sail and storm jib. A crew member is on the foredeck securing the #3 jib we had previously been flying in the short video https://youtube.com/shorts/VRAEp8M49Y4, but ripped in half. The head literally ripped right off. He is wearing a harness and tether! The sky is completely blue, but everybody is still completely soaked from the spray. Lots of sails were destroyed in that leg, including the #3 jib that is now on the foredeck. La Classe HANSA in Italia è nata nel 2014 ed è una Classe dove ho ricoperto il ruolo di Presidente per i primi 6 anni, poi 2 da Vice Presidente ed infine altri due da Consigliere. A ridosso del primo decennio di vita di questa Classe che a fine 2023 porta in dote 140 (in costante ascesa) imbarcazioni presenti nel territorio nazionale, conta anche qualche centinaio di soci. Per molto tempo è stata la deriva che utilizzavo per uscire in mare (in questo video invece ero al Lago di Garda) da solo. Ed è da solo che ho scoperto un'infinità di legami con la montagna al mare...
