I grew up sailing the local waters of the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay, where we stood constant watch for other boats, crab pots, and debris in the water. Sometimes it is hard to relax. It is not until you go off the coast that you really come to appreciate the peace and solitude of sailing and the sea. Whitsunday Escape has a new boat, a Leopard 44, and one of the brilliant features on it that make boating easy, is the automatic raising and lowering of the dinghy. The dinghy is slipped into davits at the back of the boat, and all you have to do is press a button to either raise it out of the water, or put it in the water. Simple!
