I grew up sailing the local waters of the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay, where we stood constant watch for other boats, crab pots, and debris in the water. Sometimes it is hard to relax. It is not until you go off the coast that you really come to appreciate the peace and solitude of sailing and the sea. Just minutes into our journey, the first moored sailboat with people on it was a fellow Mark Twain Lake sailor I had met when we first started sailing Galactica. Fortunately, Matt recognized Galactica and called my name. He works at a boatyard on the Calumet and invited me to grab a dock space with electricity!!! It was perfect for us.
