I grew up sailing the local waters of the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay, where we stood constant watch for other boats, crab pots, and debris in the water. Sometimes it is hard to relax. It is not until you go off the coast that you really come to appreciate the peace and solitude of sailing and the sea. A quick intro to a relatively new feature, the carbon fiber steering wheel! We got a chance to see ours being built. Picking it up makes it feel like it is made from balsa wood. The weight of the assembly just about doubles when the stainless steel hub is added.
