A signal cannon, also known as a salute cannon, is a small cannon, typically less than two feet in length, used for signaling and saluting rather than for military combat. These cannons were historically used on ships and on land to announce arrivals, warn of danger, or signal distress. They are also commonly used for celebratory events, such as starting sailboat races or marking significant milestones. HARBORBURN makes the only legit, useable, black-powder, muzzle-loading, fuse-lighting, loud-blasting signal cannon on the market. Hand-stamped and customized for your boat name, the ‘Herrington Mk. 1’ cannons are useable artwork and will last a lifetime. HARBORBURN started as a passion project between four sailors who wanted a real, black-powder signal cannon for their own boats, but nothing was available…so we made one! And now it’s available to boats and cannon-enthusiasts alike. This is a great big fish dive with schools of Red Bass, Big eye Trevally and Silver Drummer. A school of Barracuda is often seen a little further around the Point as one makes their way along the wall. Both Grey and White Tip Reef Sharks can be seen further along the wall.
