🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [27/52] 🪢 There’s so many horror stories out there with boats having to clean their diesel tanks in the worst imaginable situation after the engine stoped working at an even worse moment. We figured we play it safe and try to prevent it as much as we can after finding a piece of plastic that blocked the system causing our engine to stop outside of Anholt (just after we left Sweden). You can never be totally safe from diesel bugs, specially fueling up in remote places, but you can diminish the risks. Also make sure you protect yourself and the environment by avoiding spill! Only discharge of the residues in a designated place. Smart vagga som jag fick med båten. Delad, så att en person ensam kan hantera delarna. Den går att transportera på takräcket på bilen. De två hälfterna (grindarna) hålls ihop med snedstag till kölstockarna och med plankor med klossar på. Spikar fast snedstagen med 100 mm spikar, som jag slår in en bit och sedan kröker så de är lätta att dra ut på våren. Två hål för spikar i varje stag. Plankorna under har bara klossar i ytteränden, de hindrar grindarna från att rotera runt snedstagen. Ena hållet håller klossen emot och andra hållet själva plankan genom grindens lutning. Enda kända bristen är att det inte finns någon snabbjustering av tryckplattorna. Vore smidigare att snabbt kunna grovjustera och sedan finjustera med den gängade delen.
