🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [27/52] 🪢 There’s so many horror stories out there with boats having to clean their diesel tanks in the worst imaginable situation after the engine stoped working at an even worse moment. We figured we play it safe and try to prevent it as much as we can after finding a piece of plastic that blocked the system causing our engine to stop outside of Anholt (just after we left Sweden). You can never be totally safe from diesel bugs, specially fueling up in remote places, but you can diminish the risks. Also make sure you protect yourself and the environment by avoiding spill! Only discharge of the residues in a designated place. For anyone visiting Corsica, the calanques de Piana are a must-see. Listed by UNESCO, this is one of the most beautiful places in Corsica. The steep red cliffs offer a beautiful landscape and we also had a beautiful view of the mountains from the catamaran at anchor below the town of Piana. Especially when we lifted our drone at the end of the afternoon, the orange colors are even more enhanced by the low sun.
