Our yachts are built with ease of ownership in mind, and this is why, if you need to remove a hidden deck fitting we’ve attached, there will be GRP packing around the nuts below the deck. Not only does this prevent any ingress of water around the fitting, it means that any bolt or machine screw can be removed and replaced on your own, and without having to remove any of the interior. Anyone who has unscrewed a bolt, and heard the tell-tale clatter of a nut falling off, will know the sinking realisation that a quick job has now become a long job. The headlining and possibly parts of the interior will need to be removed to access the bolt. We never want that to happen to you. There may be times when deck fittings need to be repaired or replaced. The goal was to create a high-speed vessel that could accommodate a specific interior layout and guest capacity. The original concept was for a 145-meter yacht, but as the design evolved to incorporate complex engine systems, space for fuel, and tenders, along with a sleek, elongated exterior, the yacht extended to 180 meters, ultimately breaking records. 2. Over 4,000 Workers Were Involved in Her Construction. Built at the renowned Lürssen shipyard in Germany, Azzam took four years and the efforts of over 4,000 workers to complete. With a total cost exceeding $500 million, construction involved an astounding six million man-hours. To put that into perspective, if one person had been tasked with the build, they would have had to start in 1737 BC to finish on time. 3. Azzam Is Among the Fastest Superyachts on the Planet. Azzam was built to travel swiftly between her owner's private island off the coast of Abu Dhabi and the mainland. Her top speed of 33 knots allows her to make the journey in just a few hours. 4.
