GTFO plan - Our 1984 Catalina 30' under sail There is no better feeling than flying with the wind on a sailboat! This is a short clip from our current "practice" boat. We currently own a 1984 Catalina 30’ monohull sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. This is our practice boat and is not designed for the open ocean and too small for full-time, liveaboard life. Our future boat will be a Neel 51' trimaran! We want to share our GTFO plan of retiring early to explore the world. We plan to retire June 1, 2023, Dennis’s mandatory retirement date when he will have served 30 years in the Army. We plan to buy a Neel 51’ trimaran (http://www.neel-trimarans.com/modele_bateau/neel-51/). A trimaran is much safer than a catamaran, more comfortable than a monohull, faster to escape bad weather, and spacious to accommodate our Brady Bunch, and possibly you! We plan to name her Just a Kiss which describes our wonderful 2nd date back in 2015. Learn with us as we prepare to GTFO and sail the world! Kisses, Ann & Dennis

Week 3 of the season ending Frosties Regatta at Strangford Lough Yacht Club was very different to the first 2 weeks. The crews were greated with with 8 to 12 knots of breeze from the West which would eventually fade before doing a 180 degree flip as it died out to 4 to 5 knots from the East. The J109 Going To Red and the A35 Le Bascular continued there matching racing series to see who would take the title of Frosties Champion 2023. The team on J109 GTR broke to the right of the course at the start which turned out to be the wrong decision as the Island end of the line was favoured. The A35 was leading at the first mark after a couple of close crosses but the J109 got a better set while to leeward which allowed them to push the A35 up to windward which caused them to momentarily round up letting the J109 jump out in front and gybe on the inside. The A35 came back in the second half of the run to lead at the bottom mark before stretching out their lead on the last beat. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you liked this video and it encourages you to want watch more. Skeeter Boats has always been best known for its freshwater bass boat creations, having been one of the first manufacturers to bring production boats to that market starting in the 1940s. But today, Skeeter is producing some of the finest bay boats for saltwater anglers, including the Skeeter SX2250, which our reviewer Gary Reich came across at the Miami International Boat Show earlier this year. Read more: http://features.boats.com/boat-content/2014/05/2014-skeeter-sx2250-first-look-video/ For more boat videos, visit http://www.boats.com. boats.com features boat reviews, how-to videos, special features, and information about new boats, boats for sale, and boating products—usually with a dash of fun. Our reviewers test the features, performance, and specifications of each boat, searching out the hidden details for a critical evaluation. If you're shopping for a boat, we want to help you make the best choice. And if you're just looking, we'll try to make it fun too. Subscribe to receive notification of new videos.
