GTFO plan - Our 1984 Catalina 30' under sail There is no better feeling than flying with the wind on a sailboat! This is a short clip from our current "practice" boat. We currently own a 1984 Catalina 30’ monohull sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. This is our practice boat and is not designed for the open ocean and too small for full-time, liveaboard life. Our future boat will be a Neel 51' trimaran! We want to share our GTFO plan of retiring early to explore the world. We plan to retire June 1, 2023, Dennis’s mandatory retirement date when he will have served 30 years in the Army. We plan to buy a Neel 51’ trimaran (http://www.neel-trimarans.com/modele_bateau/neel-51/). A trimaran is much safer than a catamaran, more comfortable than a monohull, faster to escape bad weather, and spacious to accommodate our Brady Bunch, and possibly you! We plan to name her Just a Kiss which describes our wonderful 2nd date back in 2015. Learn with us as we prepare to GTFO and sail the world! Kisses, Ann & Dennis
► They are 7, 5 and 2 years old and their names are Nelson, Charlotte and Mathilda. They’ve just spent a week on board a Sunsail 454 (Leopard 45) from the Phuket base with their parents – two couples. ► “Embarking with the family on a multihull in Thailand is about offering the children an adventure they’ll remember for the rest of their lives! Sailing out of Phuket, in the far south of Thailand, we headed for the paradise islands of the Andaman Sea. From the very beginning of the trip, the children transformed into little sailors, curious about everything: hoisting the sails, spotting the multicolored fish and diving into the waters of secret bays. Life on board quickly settled into a rhythm of swimming, playing on the catamaran's trampoline and relaxing while watching the sunset. Ashore, the children loved meeting the monkeys of Koh Phi Phi Don - even if these macaques, who come down from the surrounding jungle to scavenge for food from the tourists, can be a bit unpredictable. Our cruise was much more than a vacation, it was a timeless interlude where kids and grown-ups shared some unique times together. An unforgettable experience that’s already making us want to go back!” ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests!
