Hi!👋🏻 We're Ed & Paige. We met in 2011, and since then have grown together as a couple through our love of travel, sailing, and finding ourselves on some pretty epic (sometimes questionable) adventures. In 2014 Ed completed an 18 month circumnavigation with his father (I got to tag along for most of the Pacific🙌🏻). Following his return we knew we would do whatever it took to get back on the water, this time in our own boat, together. After nearly 5 years of planning, saving, and questioning our sanity, we quit our jobs in 2019 and sold most of our non-essential/non-heartfelt belongings. In the 2023 Rolex Fastnet Race, Stormvogel claimed 6th in IRC Zero (and placed 11th overall in IRC) from a massive field of 358 starters. Launched in 1961, Stormvogel was one of the world's first lightweight maxis-designed by Van de Stadt, with input from Laurent Giles-and built of cold-moulded wood. She won Line Honours in her first-ever Fastnet, and over six decades later continues to sail-and compete-with unwavering spirit.
