Installing a new floor in an Edencraft is far from a simple task. This 565 build has reached the Joining Shed stage. After completing the stringers, full tank installation, foaming, leveling, and glassing, the floor is finally ready for a dry fit. Once the dry fitting is complete, both surfaces will be prepped. The base of the floor will be resin-coated, and the hull will be layered with chopped fiberglass and resin. With precision, the floor is then carefully placed in position and weighted down to create a strong chemical bond between the two surfaces. From this point, any gap between the floor liner and the hull will be filled with foam, sanded to perfection, and sealed with a layer of fibreglass. Shortly after the start of Race 2 of the 2024 Narrows Regatta on Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland the lead boats were in close contact with several boats as everyone positioned for the strongest tide to push them into the main part of the lough. The J109 Going to Red was heading to the not sure if they would cross into the lead on port tack and tack the lead. They toyed with a tack to setup a leebow to take the lead, with the boat speed building quickly it was not needed as they slipped into the lead on port tack. The team at bottom up boats how you are enjoying the footage from the 2024 season, with the days getting longer it will not be long until the boat is back in the water and we can start making more memories from the 2025 racing.
