Here's a glimpse of the upcoming build series of my new tender to Flying Spur! The mast sections are mated together by an inner-ring of epoxied carbon fiber tape The sail was cut from tanbark cloth by Sailrite. I assembled everything from there I decided to use a mast track instead of the common "zippered sleeve" for reasons of simplicity and durability. A small shim was used to "ramp" the track between the different-sized mast poles, and it glides really well. Music: "The Bottom of The Ocean" by Matt Garver
In this episode we film us making a cuban reel, this will allow others to make a similar fishing reel ……… Here's a link to the full YT episode , https://youtu.be/G9_1U7TAKe4 If you want to binge watch here is a link to our first season playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTnjHpfUuECUAA8rwRSxxMvqq9EMx_MR8 Hi All, Welcome to our channel, We are Andrew and Irene a middle aged (well not sure what age range that encompasses nowadays ) couple pursuing an adventure on the high seas. We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). Thanks for taking an interest and please remember to leave a like, comment and subscribe to our channel, as this helps push the algorithm as we strive to boost our viewers. We also write a blog which can be found here https://www.sailblogs.com/member/saracen/ Link to our noforeignland boat page https://www.noforeignland.com/boat/6490851356180480 Instagram http://www.instagram.com/andrew.campbell386 #SVSaracenstravels #sailinglife #sailing #yachts #sailingaroundtheworld #liveaboardlife #liveaboard #beneteau #oceanis473 #caribbean #yachting #sailingcouple #sailingcaribbean #cruiser #crusinglifestyle #retired #travellingcouple #wanderlust #explore #fishing #cubanreel
I thought we hooked the catch of the day… turns out it hooked me instead. 🎣😳 Somewhere in the Red Sea, a mahi, a flying hook, and the wildest one-liner of our entire voyage collide. You have to see how this ends. When I told the captain what happened, his reaction became the quote of the voyage. Watch the full episode to see the chaos, the fishing, and life sailing one of the world’s most unpredictable seas. 🌊🎣 #sailing #redsea #fishinggonewrong #mahi #oceanadventure #sailinglife #boatlife #travelreel#bumsonaboat
Yachting Expert Klara Jakobsen is visiting the British Virgin Islands. The British Virgin Islands are one of the most popular yacht charter destinations in the world — especially for catamarans. No boats. No crowds. Just turquoise water and total privacy. This is the true beauty of a crewed yacht charter in the BVI: Your captain knows where to go. While others stay near the busy hubs, you can anchor in secluded bays that feel completely untouched. From the marina to your own private paradise in under an hour — it honestly doesn’t get better than this. If you're considering a luxury crewed yacht charter in the British Virgin Islands, this is exactly the kind of experience we design for our guests. Reach out anytime to start planning your own escape.
