DIY Sail and 3-section Mast Fitment

Here's a glimpse of the upcoming build series of my new tender to Flying Spur! The mast sections are mated together by an inner-ring of epoxied carbon fiber tape The sail was cut from tanbark cloth by Sailrite. I assembled everything from there I decided to use a mast track instead of the common "zippered sleeve" for reasons of simplicity and durability. A small shim was used to "ramp" the track between the different-sized mast poles, and it glides really well. Music: "The Bottom of The Ocean" by Matt Garver

On our last day in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we walk around Independence Square and the surrounding area. Then, we spend 12 hours at the airport, and tour that too - there is pretty to see and taste! Highly recommend the Airbnb we stayed at - walking distance to everything! The Indian restaurant I recommend had probably all of the airport staff, captains and flight attendants come by, while we ate there. A bit tricky to find, lower lever, right next to KFC. The 'car' is something the genoa sail sheet passes through and we can adjust it's position along the deck to alter the angle that the sheet pulls down of the genoa. You will see how we need to set the sheet lead car for the headsail to the forward end of the track to allow the sail to adopt a fuller shape. We set it like this when the wind is coming from behind the boat.
