I was at Catalina Harbor on the "Hawaii side" of Catalina Island about 25 miles off the coast from Los Angeles. As I walked towards the Pacific, the fog started to roll in off the ocean. It rolled past "the pregnant lady" ridge and up the canyon on the opposite side of the harbor. A very beautiful but eerie sit sight. If your vessel is traveling in a straight line and the angle to another vessel relative to your vessel is not changing then you have an issue. You can also use a compass. If the compass angle to the other vessel does not change then you have an issue. #sailingschool #sailing #navigation
